Medora

It's the cutest little cowboy tourist town just west of here. Mark and I went there for a day of shopping (didn't buy much!) and hiking (it's a bit harder now than it used to be!).

A Weekend at Home

Someone told me "you're always going places!" I guess I am, but I have to while it's still easy! This was probably my last long distance trip until after baby.

I got to hang out with Mom all weekend. It was awesome.

Dave and I took her to Target Field for the first time.

Scott Diamond pitched a complete game shut-out, and the Twins won 11-0. There were fireworks afterward, so it turned out to be a good game to go to.

I introduced my mom to frozen yogurt, self-serve style. I got addicted to it in AZ, and I was more than happy to have some again. It was a hit!

Now I'm back in ND, where the temps are sky-high.

Friends!

Kayla and Sara K came to visit! I really loved having them here. I think Mark did too, as they did all his dishes.

How pretty are these hollyhocks? What an awesome way to dress up a boring alleyway.

Lorina had the ladies over for a fire. It was fun, and we stayed until after 1 (very late for me these days).

Sara, me, Kayla

On Saturday, I took the girls up to Williston.

The trip isn't complete without a stop at Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Even though it rained, we got to see the awesomeness of it.

Lowell S was in our state for services, so we went in Williston on Saturday night. There were about 50 people there, including kids (and my mom!). Sunday, church was in Dickinson, and there were about 75 people! Us ladies (thanks for your help, girls!) made lunch, and everything went well (enough food, meeting place was big enough, etc).

Pure Michigan

Mari and bridesmaids: Lauretta (sister), Deanna (cousin), Kendra (sister), Mari, Michelle (cousin), and Janel (friend).

Doesn't this look yum? It was the s'mores bar at Mari's bachelorette party.

Day of the wedding. Cleaning up water after the first bout of rain. Unfortunately, there were quite a few rainy hours.

My hubby looking good in his usher duds :)

Adorable family

Wedding details...

This was very cute, but got a bit wet

Mari and Craig :)

Mark and his immediate family

All of us

The rain made for a chilly evening, so Mark started the sauna while still in his suit.

At the end of the evening, the rain stopped, and there was a beautiful sunset complete with a double rainbow over the house!

The next day was spent hanging around the folk's place. Tessa was the reigning champ of the hula hoop; she could walk with it like it was no big thing!

Sauna and swim...or cool off with the hose...

It was sad to say good bye to this place, knowing we might not be back.

What a wonderful trip! I could've easily spent another week up there.
